It’s pretty sad when you search Twitter and the majority of tweets about gymnastics are about a gymnast’s looks, instead of the actual gymnastics. Since when did the Olympics turn into a f**king beauty pageant? There were more comments concerning this gymnast, which I am not going to go into detail about, but which were downright insulting. NO gymnast, wait, no athlete, deserves to be treated like this or spoken about in such a manner. I’m not saying you have to praise Grishina to the skies, but please could you just have a modicum of tact and maturity? She is 16 years old and doing things that you could probably never even dream of doing. As I said, this is Olympic gymnastics, not some  Miss World competition. If you have nothing better to do than pick on a 16 year old girl’s looks, then you may need to take a good look at your self-esteem. NOT COOL. Grishy is such a cutie.  WHAT. …I don’t understand. At. All. We love you grishy, you’re beautiful, not only as a gymnast, also as a person ♥ The autistic tweet really bothers me. Autism is not tied to appearance. It’s quite insulting not only to Grishina but to people who actually have autism. People who have autism can be just as beautiful as people who don’t.
